Go Coconuts

On Saturday 8.apr.2023, on his own, he bought char siew from the Elderlies favourite eatery for their lunch after he checked the concerns of the elderly about the pace maker. In the evening, also on his own, he went to Fatty Mixed Rice to buy chapfan no rice dinner for the Elderlies because I was in the midst of having my omad.

*** Friday 7.apr.2023 ***

2.03 pm - saw this Go Coconuts kiosk eatery so bought one coconut jelly made from coconut water MYR 11.90 nett, one coconut pudding made from Santan MYR 12.50 nett and one pack of 6 colourful jellies MYR 5.90 nett for all 6 colourful jellies. The texture of the coconut jelly and coconut pudding is quite firm, not those wobbly jelly. The coconut pudding tastes rich whereas the coconut jelly is more refreshing.

Total price is MYR 30.30 nett.

The food counter with coconuts in it.

The Go Coconuts kiosk eatery is located near Eight Avenue food court in pavilion Bukit Jalil.

He asked me why did I buy these colourful jellies meant for children and I guess he is correct that they are meant for children because most children like colourful items.

Please click on the above menu for a larger image to read the items and their prices.

Jelly Mooncakes

Today is Saturday 31.jul.21 Day 33 of PPN phase 1. Yesterday we stayed at home the whole day and received one scheduled jelly mooncakes delivery. Spent the whole day eating food from the fridge to clear them.

*** Friday 30.jul.21 ***

10.43 am - All the colours of these agar agar moon cakes are natural, from plants and the various food ingredients. Even the very blue is natural, from butterfly pea flowers.

10.56 am - the orange circle in the middle is agar agar with carrot juice.

10.41 am - Konnyaku fresh fruit mooncakes. Very refreshing.

10.40 am - bought these two boxes of jelly mooncakes.

10.40 am - each individual transparent mooncake tray has its own cover.

10.32 am - this package is delivered by Lalamove motorcycle rider.

If interested, can go to this insta account to order by pm.

Or go to fb stated above to contact this seller. I like the agar agar longan mooncake best, followed by the cendol mooncake.

*** Food From Fridge ***

8.46 am - his breakfast of Ling Fish Mee hoon bought from Swee Heng on Tuesday, 3 days ago.

11.46 am - my portion of Ling Fish Mee hoon with a slice of beef brisket, some meatloaf and all the pulled lamb for brunch.

12.53 noon - his lunch of the Bak chang bought from Klang Food Centre on Monday, 4 days ago. I ate one mouthful to try the taste, too flavourful for me.

12.57 noon - I ate this whole tub of coleslaw from Craf Roasters bought on Thursday, one day ago.

1.44 pm - I ate one quarter of each agar agar mooncake. Order of preference - blue pea flower, cendol, red bean and corn.

6 pm - I ate 2 slices of pandan layer cake from Monday and drank all the remaining iced latte from Thursday as dinner.

6.07 pm - his dinner of all the remaining smoked chicken from Thursday with instant noodles and an egg.

6.10 pm - I ate the above slice of tomato mint tart bought on Thursday.

We did quite well yesterday by eating only food from the fridge and didn't buy any new main food because jelly mooncakes don't count. 😂 Cleared ling fish Mee hoon, Bak Chang, iced latte and pulled lamb. Didn't eat the lamb shank stew and cornbread yet. Will do so today.

Peach Jelly

Lovely top view.

Side view. I like to eat Libby's can peaches so I chose peach Jelly. Refreshing and nice but a bit on the sweet side and didn't give the satisfying feel of eating nian gao so I don't think I will buy this jelly again.

Expired in Aug so have to finish eating it.

*** Monday 19 Oct 2020 d216 ***

My portion of 3 jc meehoon with one added egg for lunch.

Lunch - shared 3jc Mee Hoon soup.

Finished all 5 berangan bananas between the two of us as breakfast.

Finished up nian gao during teatime.

Not my dinner of all remaining lotus root soup and half rice.

Jelly Coconut Delivery

Saw this Funlink Food fb post about Coconut Jelly at MYR 8.50 nett each. Buy 4 to get a free Coconut so I bought 8 coconut jelly to get 2 foc coconuts at MYR 68 nett with free delivery. The Coconut Jelly with vacuum packed as above.

After removing the packaging.

Sweet cooling coconut jelly with white coconut meat still intact within the coconut shell so after eating all the jelly with the white coconut meat, one would be very full.

10 coconuts inside my fridge. I gave 4 coconut jellies and 2 coconut (drinks) away with 4 coconut jelly remaining for the two of us.

Contactless Delivery on Saturday 23 May 2020 d67.

*** Thursday 28 May 2020 d72 ***

10.02 am - my breakfast of raw red, yellow, green bell peppers with slices of Massimo full wheat bread. I did not finish all the bell peppers because they will be stirfried with garlic and ham for lunch because only one of us can stand the taste of raw bell peppers and that person is me so the remaining bell peppers need to be stir-fried.

11.44 am - Blanched okras without seasonings placed together with not-my-lunch of stirfry red, yellow, green bell peppers, garlic and ham.

Reheated the soup calrose rice to be eaten with 125 g of wild boar curry for lunch.

12 noon - my share of lunch with 3 okras which I eat whole including the part near the stem. I also ensure that all the remaining curry gravy are eaten from the glass container.

3.14 pm - defrosted the one remaining 6 of 6 slices of cheese yam cake. I am going to miss this cake. So yummy. I ate 5 slices out of the total 6 slices within 6 days so I wonder how much weight did I gain from this cake but no fear, I will always buy cheese cakes to eat because I love to eat cakes.

5.30 pm - I ate 3 mung bean biscuits bought on Friday 1 May 2020 d45 and 1 pack of chocolate chips oats biscuits (3 in 1 pack).

6 pm - we finished off all the soup calrose rice by eating them with old cucumber soup with 2 braised duck gizzards that were bought on Saturday 23 May 2020 d67. Perhaps one day I will show the photo of an uncut duck gizzard which is not pretty but is very delicious to me.

If you are curious, here is a photo of uncut duck gizzards. Very tasty when braised, do you dare to eat them? Many people love to eat them and this popular shop called Lao Tien Lu in Ximending, Taipei, Taiwan sells duck gizzard ready-to-eat-on-the-go at NTD 40 each which is about MYR 5.81 nett each but the ones I bought cost only MYR 1 nett each and is just as tasty. I know because I always go to Lao Tien Lu to buy one to eat just because I am already in Taipei.

WG Jelly Ai Yu

One of our friend was back at work and wanted to eat lunch at Taipei Taipei at 3 Damansara Shopping Mall since we went without her the previous time. So we revisited it and I would need to think hard again of what to eat since I don't want to eat rice and noodles.

This friend ordered Soy Stewed Pork with Rice at MYR 16.9+ (6% SST = MYR 17.91 nett) despite me pointing it out to her that this is pork belly since I know that she does not eat the fatty parts. She said it is ok she would just remove those parts which she did painstakingly. She removed the skins and all the fatty layers leaving only very little lean meat but she was satisfied with her choice. There is a piece of dried pork skin (like those served with chee cheong fun) in her bowl which she gave to me.

The two friends who shared a main meal previously now ordered one main dish each. Dried Braised Pork Noodle with Pork Chop at MYR16.90+ (MYR 17.91 nett). She gave us each a small piece of pork chop as she could not finish eating such a big piece by herself. This time none of them top up to turn their main dish into sets. For certain ala carte main dishes, they include a small bowl of napa cabbage, half a braised egg and a small piece of braised tofu.

Mama Fu Spicy Hsinchu Fried Rice Noodle at MYR16.90+ (MYR 17.91 nett). It was very spicy according to my friend and she told me that I would like the texture because it was soft but I did not try any since it was spicy. My friend struggled to finish it since it was a big portion and in the end she gave up and left some behind.

Since I was at a loss on what to order, I just ordered  from the snack section - Braised Egg+Braised Tofu at MYR 5+ (MYR 5.30 nett) and was disappointed that I was just given one small piece of braised tofu. Fortunately my friend gave me her small piece of tofu since she does not like to eat tofu.

I also ordered a glass of Jelly Ai Yu Aloe Lemon at MYR 12.90+ (MYR 13.67) making the total price for my lunch: MYR 18.97 nett. I like the soft Jelly Ai Yu which is not sweet. The aloe vera cubes are sweet though but the lemon drink is sourish so this drink is very refreshing. There is still one more friend in our lunch group who has not been to this eatery yet so for the next time I have decided to order a bacon and cheese egg roll.

There are 5 types of Jelly Ai Yu drink.

F14 wasn't such a good choice since the tofu is not a full piece as shown in the photo above.

Total price for 4 pax is MYR 72.70 nett, Average cost per pax is MYR 18.17 nett.
