Salted egg yolk puff

On Sunday 4.aug.2024, went to a new eatery Auntie May Noodle House in Taman Desa for food in the rain.

9.16 am - 1. Small signature teochew prawn noodles soup MYR 16.90 with slices of pork, pork ribs, prawns, eggs and Kang kung.

2. Small Radish pork noodles in white pepper soup MYR 12.90 with pork slices, minced pork clumps and diakon.

3. Two soft boiled eggs MYR 3.50 which was quite cooked because we left the eggs in the hot water for far too long

4. A cup of hot signature coffee MYR 4 with strong coffee taste and strong milk taste. The strong coffee taste stood out on its own and didn't cover the strong milk taste which also stood out on its own so he asked me to drink the remaining coffee after he drank half of it.

9.17 am - kaya butter toast MYR 4 which tastes ok. Total price is MYR 41.30 nett.

10.26 am - shop front.

We then walked in the rain 🌧️ ☔ to a pharmacy and bought 24.8 meds for the elderly. As it was still raining, we went to pinnacle condo as the basement car park will shelter us from the rain.

A bowl of hot tofufa MYR 6.50 nett.

One black sesame ham chim Peang MYR 3.50 nett.

Salted egg yolk lotus puff in the shape of a curry puff MYR 3.90 nett which tastes very good 👍 😊 will buy again.

11.06 am - total price is MYR 22.50 nett. Later at 6 pm ate half a red dragon fruit and the final slice of Verona pandan chiffon cake, 7 pm, ate all the remaining sourdough loaf from Verona bakery bought on 10.jul.2024, 24 days ago.

On Friday 29.sep.2023, went to Pinnacle condo to eat the promo meals offered by Nam Heong eatery but we got the time wrong as we were there at around 10.30 am way before the one day promo starts at 12 noon.

12.13 noon - Two bowls of Nam Heong chicken hor fun with two fresh prawns for MYR 8.50+ only. There are single persons eating both bowls of noodles on their own because they didn't bring anyone with them to eat the bowl 2 hor fun.

12.43 noon - Both of us sat at the non air-conditioning seating area facing the main road because the air-cond seating area is full. We ordered one iced white coffee to share so the total bill is MYR 15.85 nett.

10.42 am - Nam Heong lunch promo only starts at 12 noon so we walked to Fatty Mixed Rice Sri Petaling and ate chapfan no rice MYR 13 nett for both plates of chapfan.

Fav Food Choy Kei

On Thursday 25.may.2023, went to Choy Kei coffee shop for brunch and bought lunch for the Elderlies from Hiong Mei chapfan eatery and roast meat from the Canton-Z stall nearby which the Elderlies say is very tasty as the siew yuk skin is very crispy and the meat is juicy with the melting fats.

10.57 am - I always order this seafood mihun MYR 10 nett when I eat brunch at Choy Kei coffee shop Happy Garden. This time I requested for no fish paste as I don't like the peppery taste of the fish paste. I like that this seafood mihun has a lot of spring onions.

10.58 am - he ordered dry wanton noodles with roast meat and another wanton soup noodles for the Elderlies.

11.06 am - I couldn't help myself and despite him asking me not to, I went and order 3jc mihun hor fun soup without dark sausage MYR 9 nett. Needless to say I was super full after I ate all the food inclusive of some of his dry wanton noodles. That was my omad.

4.02 pm - he cooked eggs and pchop for his dinner eaten with raw lettuce from a pack of raw vege MYR 6 nett bought from Food merchant supermarket pavilion Bukit Jalil.

I saw a cinema TGV Vivacity Megamall that I am not familiar with the location of the mall and upon searching, the cinema is in Kuching, Sarawak.

Luo Si Fen

On Wednesday 11.jan.2023, kid 1 and him accompany one elderly for the regular endocrine clinic appointment. The doctor was surprised to see the HbA1c 5.1 and  creatinine reading to have vastly improved and asked them what they did. After hearing that it is a low carb diet control, the doctor sympathised with the elderly and told kid 1 and him that okla, can add back a bit carb la. The doctor also removed diamicron meds since the reading is so good now. They were home by 12.30 noon.

*** Friday 6.jan.2023 ***

12.41 noon - I have read a lot about luosifen online so when I saw it on the menu at a stall in the dining area inside the food merchant supermarket in pavilion Bukit Jalil, I wanted to try it.

Luosifen aka 螺螄粉 literally means Snail rice noodle but there is no snail meat in this noodle. It is sour and spicy.

12.32 noon - I ordered one bowl MYR 14.90 to try.

12.46 noon - as I requested for less spicy, they didn't put any red chili oil in it so the broth looks pale. No meat at all, just beancurd sheets, kangkung, bamboo shoots, peanuts with thick mixian. I took nearly one hour to finish eating it because it is still 🥵🔥 spicy to me.

12.41 noon - this is the stall selling luosifen.

11 days to CNY! I am about to finish that tub of pineapple rolls. Time to get more. 😆

Ying Yong Popcorn

On Monday 2.jan.2023, went to Midvalley Mall. The Christmas decorations are still there, not replaced by CNY decorations yet.

11.17 am - feeling like eating wat tan ying ying noodles MYR 12.90 so went to Pop Corn food court in midvalley mall to eat it.

11.19 am - he bought pork mihun soup MYR 11.90 from one of the stall in popcorn food court. I helped him to eat all the mihun.

4.29 pm - he cooked pea sprouts bought from Mr farmer and a pack of 12 frozen prawns for his dinner and I ate 6 prawns with a bit of pea sprouts.

Saw some transfer-on stickers in mrdiy that reminds me of kalkitos so I bought one from each design at MYR 1.70 each. Do you remember kalkitos? There are 16 colourful designs as below:

Wat Tan Ying Yong Good Tea

On Monday 1.Aug.22, went to Good Tea coffee shop and finally after many trips of encountering stall closed or shop is closed, bought the wat tan ying yong dish he requested.

11.12 am - the wat tan ying yong aka kway teow mixed with deep fried Mee hoon with egg gravy MYR 9 from Good Tea coffee shop for lunch. Taste fine.

5.19 pm - he bought chap fan with very little rice from Fatty Mixed Rice Sri Petaling while I was in Good Tea coffee shop because there are still some remaining bak kut teh soup with a little rice in the fridge from Saturday, 2 days ago. So his dinner is spinach, omelette and ribs MYR 7.50 with remaining rice and bak kut teh soup. I just ate a few mouthful of his dinner as my dinner.

Pepper Stomach Yee Mee

Monday 6.jun.22 is a public holiday so went out to 3 eateries in Sri Petaling to buy takeaway food for ourselves.

*** Good Tea eatery ***

10.32 am - this pepper pork stomach yee Mee soup from Good Tea eatery is highly recommended by a utub video. The soup is peppery enough and the many pieces of pork stomach are tender and thick so it is tasty. Will try it with Mihun next time. Also bought a pack of pork mihun soup for the next day. Total price is MYR 14 nett.

*** Alison coffee shop ***

10.33 am - ckt MYR 8 nett from Alison coffee shop is also highly recommended and I had to wait for 20 mins for my order because of the many orders. It is not oily, slightly spicy with cockles and plump short crunchy beansprouts. The fish cakes are cut into thick narrow strips instead of thin slices so they taste nicer. This time it is kway teow mixed with yellow noodles. Next time will order just kway teow.

*** Sunny Food Republic Coffee shop ***

Bought chicken thigh hor fun soup MYR 9 nett for an early dinner. It is operated by the same people at the chicken hor fun stall at Thong Kee so it is exactly just as tasty.

10.12 am - also bought mihun soup fish balls and fish paste MYR 10 nett for the next day's breakfast from the stall above. Maybe will try the Sang Har wine noodles one day.

Lam Mee

On Monday 3.jan.22, he accompanied both elderlies for their booster appointment so he swapped his Tues duty day with kid 1's Mon. 3 of them went to the nearby clinic assigned at about 11 am but the clinic has many walk-in cases so they had to wait almost 2 hours.  At about 1 pm, both elderlies were given the booster and by 1.22 noon, they reached home.

My favourite grape peanut butter spread:  Smucker's Goober Grape.

8.09 am - his breakfast of lam Mee bought from a stall in Tuck Tuck Tei coffee shop on Sunday. Foodpanda pick up price is MYR 10.12 for this noodle. It is acceptable with the 5 spice taste in the broth.

For the Elderlies lunch, food panda delivered 4 packs of chicken thigh hor fun from Thong Kee Sri Petaling coffee shop at a total price of MYR 45.62 nett inclusive of delivery fees. For our own dinner, we bought 5 pieces of regular McD fried chicken at MYR 24.95 nett inclusive of McD delivery.

Same Experience

On Monday 27.dec.21, we stayed at home the whole day.

12.10 noon - his lunch of egg, two meatballs and rice from Good Taste Bukit Jalil, home blanched lettuce and remaining bkt from Friday.

He ordered item M05 from Good taste Bukit Jalil to experience what the elderly had for dinner the previous day. 

5.29 pm - item M05 preserved mustard leaves for dinner with rice. The meat in this dish is tough.

We picked up this order from Sepetang coffee shop on Sunday and kept it for Monday's breakfast.

8.45 am - the wanton noodles with 3 wanton dumplings bought the previous day for breakfast.

12.38 noon - my lunch of food that he kept aside for me. I didn't eat all the remaining bal kut teh because I was full so there is still a portion to be cleared the next day.

Wat Tan Ying Yong

Monday 25.oct.21 is clear food day for us. We stay at home the whole day and ordered two food deliveries. Kid 1 and fav kid take care of the elderlies and provide pampers training. Cannot let go everything because will leak which happened during training 1. Have to let go just enough until don't feel the urge. Training for the occasion when go visit doctors and not enough time to reach a wash room.

12.21 noon - both of us clear the half steamed chicken bought on Friday by cooking it with goji berries and eating them with vit instant noodles. I must remember not to buy more than 1 pax meat per day because half a chicken took us 3 days to finish. Too slow because we don't eat much meat per day.

12.26 noon - I ate my only one remaining pizza from Friday.

12.37 noon - I microwaved the remaining long beans bought on Sun 10.oct.21, 15 days ago to clear it and ate them with my portion of instant noodles and chicken breast meat.

5.32 pm - both of us shared this wat tan ying yong bought from Tastylicious Dim Sum which don't serve pork. Wat means silky smooth. Tan means egg. Ying yong means Mandarin duck which means well matched. In this case is mix kway teow and Mee hoon which is a good combination because they taste good together so call them ying yong. Wat tan ying yong is in Cantonese which means kway teow and Mee hoon stir fried in silky smooth egg drops gravy.

5.40 pm - the previous two times I didn't get to eat this lo Mai Kai from Tastylicious Dim Sum eatery so this time I buy it again to taste it. I prefer it to be less salty. I ate half and kept half in the fridge for another day.

5.53 pm - bought some ytf - vegetables stuffed with fish paste from Fatty Mok eatery.

Tue 26.oct.21 6.26 am - the meat balls Mee hoon soup bought in the evening from fatty mok eatery is for his breakfast the next morning because he likes to eat hot soupy food early in the morning.

4.54 pm - used up the final 12 of 12 pandapro free delivery for this month subscription and used the refund voucher for delivering different bread to buy food as dinner from Tastylicious Dim Sum eatery.

5.10 pm - bought this Mee hoon for his breakfast the next day so might as well buy a few fish paste stuffed vegetables. Eatery is within walking distance so the delivery fees is a little only.
