On Friday 1.may.2026, went to Guan Kopitiam PJ at 8 am and then Kar Heong for food because we wanted to go to Paradigm Mall at 10 am.

8.28 am - my portion. The gravy tastes sourish sweet like Assam fish paste.

We always see a long queue at B & Best Coffee shop for seafood noodles. After thinking about should we join the queue, we decided to eat steamed chicken instead.

He was thinking of eating hokkien noodles a few months ago and so happened we saw this famous hokkien noodles eatery so of course must eat there.

Luckin Coffee instant brand specialty drip coffee. Yirgacheffe sun dried beans. The primary natural flavours are fruity berries and floral. Very nice, I like the light taste.

A box of 8 drip bags online rrp is around MYR 39 and by redeeming sho pi coins I paid MYR 20 inclusive of delivery fees.

 On Thursday 30.april.2026, went to Pavilion Bukit Jalil for the MYR 9.9 promo which is available everyday.

11.30 am - we ordered one lunch set meal from the Monday to Friday lunch set meal menu which includes a refillable tea and a non refillable cold dish which is fungus with grey oyster mushrooms in hot red chilli pepper oil.

We chose Pork chop with poached egg on top of soy sauce egg fried rice set MYR 31.70+

11.29 am - from the MYR 9.9 menu, we ordered 4 items:

1. Glutinous rice balls in warm fermented rice wine sweet soup 

2. Cold soda with bayberry and fermented rice wine

3. Sauteed brinjal with minced pork

4. Steamed egg with minced pork 

11.34 am - got a bit of wok hei. He wondered why removed all the skin of the brinjal because we like to eat brinjal with skin intact.

11.45 am - the steamed eggs dish took about 10 to 20 minutes preparation in the kitchen, the staff informed us.

12.35 noon - MYR 9.9 promo with 8 items. We wanted to order steamed red bean sweet cake too but it was out of stock.

On Tuesday 28.april.2026, went to Chun Yang but couldn't find a parking spot so went to Ipoh Ipoh Sri Petaling instead. At 1.30 pm, received a call to change the appointment from 3 pm to 2 pm so got ready to go work. After that, went to Kwong Wah Ice Kuchai Lama for cold desserts because the weather is very hot 🥵

9.11 am - he ordered:

Curry BBQ pork noodles MYR 17.90 add MYR 1 for wanton noodles 

Hot white coffee MYR 6 

I ordered:

Cold black coffee no sugar MYR 5

The cold coffee is not sweet at all but I can still feel that the coffee beans are roasted in sugar.

I feel that coffee beans roasted in sugar will taste nicer with milk so next time I must remember not to order black coffee no sugar at this eatery.

9.13 am - I also ordered wanton prawns dumplings 7 pieces for MYR 16 

We shared all the food

12.55 noon - he ate half a Shepard avocado. Unlike hass avocado, this Shepard avocado has very thin skin that stays green when ripe. The flesh does not turn brown after being cut and exposed for one hour as in shown the photo above.

1.09 pm - the skin is very thin so I couldn't peel it easily resulting in scratches and nicks in the surface of flesh after the skin has been removed.

I ate this half avocado 🥑 with 3 slices of wholemeal bread.

1.49 pm to 2.29 pm - went to work appointment

He kept all the potatoes cubes in our trusted container from home for me to eat them the next day.

On Monday 27.april.2026, went to Kedai Makan Makan former C+ plus cafe Sri Petaling for food.

2.28 pm - before this, I ate the two egg tarts from hock Kee and we ate all the chicken cubes. I then ate the lontong compressed rice.

3.51 pm - 11 individually packed butter cookies in one box. Not that sweet, very mildly sweet. Very brittle, break easily. I ate 8 packs in total at one go.

On Sunday 26.april.2026, went to Midvalley mall for food and to deliver the items. Then sent the monthly provisions with food and a drink before going for dessert.

*** Hock Kee Heritage The Gardens Mall ***

We have been to the bangsar south branch twice so when it held the soft opening for the new branch in Midvalley Mall on Thursday 23.april.2026, we went there on Sunday.

10.47 am - I ordered a dish not commonly found elsewhere: Cheesy Jumbo River Prawn Mihun MYR 29.90++ for the base dish with fish fillets and mini scallops.

There is a choice of 1 piece of Jumbo Prawn MYR 6++ or more than 1 tiger prawn and I chose one piece of Jumbo Prawn so total is MYR 35.90++

10.58 am - the two halves of prawn meat are firm and tasty. The gravy is light creamy without strong cheese taste but with very fragrant deep fried curry leaves and prawn taste so I like the overall taste. The mihun is soft and just the right portion for a small eater so I ate this whole dish myself as he doesn't eat cheese or cream.

10.31 am - I also ordered:

One taro egg tart MYR 6.80++ which is a basic Portuguese egg tart with a swirl of taro paste toppings.

One curry potato egg tart MYR 6.20++ which is Portuguese egg tart with curry potatoes cubes mixed in it, buttery, sweet and savoury. This egg tart blew my mind with these 4 tastes: buttery, curry spice taste, sweet and savoury all mixed together 😂 

10.44 am - I ate a bit of each and took the remaining portions home in my trusted home container.

10.30 am - my favourite drink: iced red bean matcha latte MYR 15.90++

The matcha is authentic pure matcha powder taste so it is not sweet

The latte milk is also not sweet

The red bean gives this drink a bit of sweetness as the red bean is cooked with sugar so this drink is only mildly sweet.

10.27 am - he ordered signature lontong with deep fried boneless chicken meat MYR 18.90++

The gravy tastes good, full of fish meat taste.

I ate the egg from his plate as he has already eaten soft boiled eggs at Rich kopitiam earlier.

I took the remaining 6 cubes of compressed rice home.

10.29 am - his hot coffee O with no sugar MYR 5.50++

Total MYR 95.20 nett after 8% promo discount for using a certain payment method.

9.17 am - hock kee heritage is located at a nice and bright location within the mall.

11.41 am to 11.54 am - get items from car for delivery.

1.14 pm to 1.49 pm - monthly provisions cookie coffee 💕

8.52 am - while waiting for hock kee to open at 10 am, he ate toast with soft boiled eggs MYR 6.90++ and a cup of hot stevia white coffee ☕ MYR 8.90++ which I didn't eat or drink at all because I am saving tummy space for the food at hock kee. Total MYR 19.50 nett.

After his breakfast, we went to the car to take the preloved steering wheel to trade it in before eating at hock Kee.
