Fav item replaced sad

On Thursday 20.aug.2026, early start to buy subsidised prescription. Then went to Southern Kopi Cheras and found that my favourite fish dish has been replaced. So sad 😢

9.35 am - they removed my favourite fish dish and replaced it with the nz deep sea perch fish and chips MYR 25.90

9.38 am - nasi lemak deep fried chicken whole leg MYR 17.90 which is also a new item in the menu

9.23 am - soft boiled eggs, kaya butter toasts, hot white coffee and my favourite kaya swiss roll

10.07 am - his charcoal egg tart. The hot white coffee is no longer hot so I asked him to order a hot drink again so he ordered hot coffee no milk no sugar.

Total MYR 79.10 nett.

9.20 am - new item nz deep sea perch fish and chips which replaced the dish below 

This is the previous item which is my favourite item which has been replaced by the fish and chips. Fish remains the same but I prefer brinjals to potatoes. Better if they give both brinjal and potatoes.

At 8.30 am they will start calling numbers and when our number is called we hand in the prescription slips and pay the subsidised price and wait again until our number is called to collect the prescription.

Barramundi Fish n Chips

On Tuesday 23.june.2026, our plan is to eat lunch at the new fish and chips eatery in Aeon Maluri but it only opens at 10 am so we went to yitcha Kaw kaw to eat their breakfast set at 8 am. After that, we crossed the road and walked to TK Bakery because I wanted to buy the pandan red bean egg tart.

Went 🏡 and at 10 am, we went to Aeon Maluri.

10.47 am - we ordered one deep fried perch and one grilled barramundi. There are only 3 types of fish to choose: dory, perch, Barramundi.

10.52 am - white flaky meat with a slight muddy taste that is negligible because when dipped into one of the 3 sauces, the taste is not detectable.

Overall a decent fish and chips so we will be back when we want to eat fish and chips.

10.44 am - total MYR 70.20 nett.

We ordered our usual breakfast set. The staff suddenly said to us that we need to wait 20 minutes for the toasts so I said change it to steamed bread then. After that we saw the toasts getting sent to customers and it wasn't 20 minutes yet so we are like 🤔 what's going on. We asked the staff and was told, yes, need to wait 20 minutes. Weird.

8.17 am - soft boiled eggs

8.25 am - the steamed bread with Kaya butter. We prefer toasts.

On Sunday 5.april.2026, went for an appointment at 12 noon but arrived early. Before that, went to Guan for food and after that went to Pokok for food.

A sprinkle of salt on top of the kaya foam 😋 

The kaya foam is too flavourful coconut creamy sweet salty for me 😂

Stir fry mushrooms with a unique sourish fermented taste which reminds me of the taste of preserved gan lan cai 橄榄菜😂 

I ate every item on the plate so I was extremely full 🌝

New Mr. Fish Pearl Point

On Friday 18.aug.2023, he chauffeured kid 1 and the elderly for blood test at the hospital. After sending them home, picked me up for lunch at the newly opened Mr Fish eatery at Pearl Point

12.40 noon - his order of seafood mix soup noodles MYR 34.90+ with two pieces of deep fried grouper fish. Add MYR 2+ for ramen noodles which taste more like thin pan mee.

His hot osmanthus honey tea MYR 5.90+ is fragrant.

12.43 noon - I chose make-your-own-meal by selecting:

1. Teochew congee MYR 4.50+ which is a huge portion but the rice is fat and fluffy

2. One piece fried grouper fillet MYR 7+

3. One piece fried salmon fillet MYR 6.5+

4. Green vege which is nai pak MYR 2+

Total price MYR 20+

The teochew congee tastes good and he ate quite a lot of it too.

12.40 noon - total price is MYR 66.90 nett.

I bought a booklet of ten MYR 10 vouchers for MYR 70 nett which must be used up within two months. Each person can only use one voucher each time so for this time, we used two vouchers and paid MYR 46.90 nett.

2.09 pm - I buy takeaway fish and chips MYR 15.90+ with addition MYR 1+ for packaging. Paid MYR 10 using one voucher so there are 7 pieces vouchers remaining. I will have to visit this eatery for another 4 times to use up all the vouchers within 2 months.

There are 4 pieces of crispy deep fried fei chou yu fillet. Fei chou Yu I believe is tilapia fish. Taste is acceptable. The fries are meaty with a bit of salt sprinkled on top. I returned the small tub of tartar sauce to them as I don't want to eat tartar sauce.

In the menu, there is a meal called St. Peter's Fish Fillet Meehoon. This fish fillet is fei chou Yu fillet too.

12.40 noon - I wonder should I try this pumpkin pie next time.
