On Sunday 21.sep.2025, went to Midvalley mall and Nexus Bangsar South for food.

I ordered iced coffee less sweet MYR 9.50 and two eggs.

10.01 am - Total MYR 39.45 nett

12.14 noon - must order this nasi lemak fried chicken MYR 16.90+ because the chicken is tender and juicy.

12.18 noon - we also ordered assam laksa MYR 15.90+ to try and found it too spicy 🥵 for us. There are pieces of fish in it so is good 👍 😊 

Ice coffee MYR 6.50 again for me and hot barley drink without sugar MYR 5.50 for him.

1.32 pm - Total MYR 50.80 nett 

They gave us a voucher for buy 1 get 1 free nasi lemak in the evening after 6 pm.

On Tuesday 22.jul.2025, went to an eatery we have not been to before.

10.52 am - flavourful assam laksa MYR 8.50 with Mihun instead of lai fun noodles because I prefer Mihun. He ordered pork misua soup and we shared a plate of assorted deep fried items MYR 14.70 

10.47 am - soft boiled eggs for him and iced white coffee for me 

Kaya butter toasts and his hot Cham drink

11.14 am - can't get them perfect all the time. I ate what I can of this avocado 🥑. No mold detected so can eat.

11.28 am - one pax portion MYR 9 nett. He ate these siew yuk and one big meat bao at around 3 pm as his early dinner. The frozen big bao is given to him by a neighbour.

D Laksa Aeon Mid Valley

On Wednesday 7.aug.2024, went to Swee Hing coffee shop for brunch.

12.51 noon - D'Laksa has been around for many years but this time only I got to taste it. Total price for one laksa, one rojak and one lemon assam boi drink is MYR 19.30 nett. The drink is an add on at MYR 2.50 nett when the usual price is MYR 4 nett. I added on the drink because I am afraid the assam laksa would be spicy but it is not that spicy. There is quite a lot of fish in the broth so I may eat it again. 

As for the fruit rojak, I prefer ACL's fruit rojak because this fruit rojak is served in a disposable plastic container.

The half watermelon 🍉 MYR 7 ish is bought from Aeon Supermarket because he wants to eat watermelon so we ate it after eating the assam laksa.

12.45 noon - D'Laksa stall.

*** Wednesday 7.aug.2024 ***

9.06 am - at Swee Hing, he ordered the default fish slice noodles without milk MYR 14 nett and shared half of the 3 slices of fish with me. Taste fine.

9.12 am - my iced Cham drink MYR 3.50 nett. I bought half portion of ccf, 2 bitter gourd ytf, 2 Brinjal ytf, 2 okra ytf and 1 bean curd ytf MYR 15.40 nett to share with him.

9.30 am - his hot Cham and kaya toast total MYR 5.10 nett.

10.33 am - he drank another cup of coffee at home and we shared one guava that he bought yesterday.

Very Mini Assam Laksa

On Wednesday 27.mar.2024, ate brunch with the elderly at Canton-Z and then after sending the elderly back, we ate ice dessert no sugar at Kwong wah oug.

12.46 noon - the assam laksa is in such a mini bowl MYR 6.80 nett which is just right for us because we have just eaten brunch. Assam laksa has fish meat and taste good.

Abc ice MYR 7 nett and bubur cha cha ice MYR 7.50 nett with no sugar. Next time I will request for no santan for my abc ice.

12.45 noon - no sugar for both ice desserts.

He bought one fried banana and one fried nian gao from a push cart stall in oug for a total of MYR 4 nett.

11.35 am - the best siew yuk in the vicinity. The elderly has good appetite and ate all the siew yuk and the small portion of rice and drank the default foc soup.

11.34 am - two siew yuk rice with small portion of rice, one char siew no rice and for me alone one roast chicken breast meat no rice. Total MYR 32 nett. Kid3 didn't want to eat all the small portion of rice so gave me half portion.

We asked the elderly what was the food kid1 ate with the elderly last Saturday. Can remember one tendon dish.

Thursday 11.may.2023 is movie day! 

9.46 am - early brunch breakfast set MYR 11.90++ at Oriental Kopi pavilion Bukit Jalil before the movie. Waited for quite many rounds to pass the traffic lights at Taman Esplanade due to the morning hours commute.

9.44 am - kampung mihun MYR 7.90++ without any chicken.

Total price for early brunch: MYR 22.95 nett.

TGV recommends!

TGV Pavilion Bukit Jalil is new so the seats are comfortable. The movie 🍿 is better than my expectations. It is touching and is more about humans. 10.45 am movie starts.

1.34 pm - after the movie, we went for early dinner. Cendol Assam Laksa set MYR 19.9+ at Kwong Wah eatery. warm Mung bean tong sui MYR 7.50+ with gula melaka.

1.43 pm - chicken chop MYR 22.80+ with tomatoes and potatoes wedges.

1.45 pm - i forgot to request for mihun instead of Lai fun. This Lai fun is too springy so is difficult for me to chew. They forgot to put in the fish so when my spouse asked about the fish, they took the whole bowl of Assam laksa back into the kitchen to add in the fish.

Total price MYR 53.20 nett.

On this day, I felt like a child again, going to the movies 🍿 😁

Sambal Mackerel Bun

On Tuesday 12.Jul.22, went out to Hong Mei chapfan eatery to buy chapfan lunch for the Elderlies and him.

*** Gardenia Puazz! Bun ***

Gardenia Puazz! Bun series now has sambal Mackerel fillings. It costs MYR 2.20 nett and I will buy it to bridge the price gap when I buy goods from Pandamart and need to reach a certain amount.

There are two buns in one pack.

Looks so hollow.

The sambal Mackerel fillings are all at the bottom in just one layer. Taste fine. Not that spicy. Just a snack in between main meals for the general public.

Monday 11.Jul.22 12.30 noon - he ate this cold aloe Vera tong sui MYR 5 bought from a roadside stall at Taman Desa as dessert. Taste ok.

11.01 am - his chapfan lunch from Hong Mei chapfan eatery: small portion of rice, deep fried pork belly, broccoli+cauliflower and spinach. He also bought 2 packs of almost similar chapfan for the Elderlies' lunch. Total price for 3 packs of chapfan is MYR 24.

Both times when I requested for soup noodles without soup, the sellers are puzzled. I explained to them to just put enough soup together with the noodles to soak them, just use the soup as gravy and don't give me a separate bag of soup. This is because I am tired of having to pour away extra soup when he has enough of the soup. I ate both mihun soup without soup and was very full for the whole day.

KK mart:

1. A loaf of gardenia bread MYR 3.6 for the Elderlies.

6 pm - his dinner of pork mihun soup MYR 8 bought from O&S coffee shop on Monday. He added an egg to the soup at home. I taste it and found the soup to be very salty. Guess they put too much salt.
