Si Si Nan Cun PBJ

On Tuesday 22.april.2025, we went to Pavilion Bukit Jalil because I wanted to try the new eatery called 四四南村 aka Si Si Nan Cun that just opened a few weeks ago at the location previously occupied by Kwong Wah Ais Kacang.

*** Si Si Nan Cun PBJ ***

11.34 am - between pork belly and pork chop, I chose pork chop which is lean and tasty 😋 so I will order pork chop again. Then it is either rice or noodles to go with pork chop so I selected braised minced pork 90% fat 10% lean pork rice with a sunny side up egg for him to try.
MYR 25.90++

Customers who prefer not so lean meat can select braised pork belly.

They have a lunch set menu from 12 noon onwards where a drink is included but we didn't wait till 12 noon so we didn't order any drinks.

11.31 am - champion braised pork rice 90% fat 10% lean meat vs golden ratio braised pork rice 50% fat 50% lean meat. The price above is for rice with pork chop set.

11.36 am - I ordered this single portion of braised knuckles MYR 15++ for him to try. He says it has a bit of lamb taste which I don't know why because I didn't try it.

11.39 am - he ordered braised beef noodles set which includes salted vegetables, tofu and half a braised egg MYR 23.90++ and he let me eat most of it.

I ordered spinach scallion pancake MYR 9.90++ which is cut into 4 pieces. I ate 3 pieces while he ate 1 piece. This pancake is quite doughy.

12.06 noon - my portion with a lot of noodles and slices of beef shank. The beef shank is nice with tendons but my teeth are too weak even for medium thickness slices of beef.

12.09 noon - red bean pastry MYR 5.90++

12.10 noon - looks like two hats put together.

12.11 noon - it has a lot of red bean fillings which drip out.

12.53 noon - total for 5 items MYR 89.45 nett.

12.37 noon - interior with the layout exactly the same as the shop before it with additional furnishings and decor.

11.16 am - Si Si Nan Cun eatery where kwong wah Ais Kacang used to be.

*** Cotti Coffee PBJ ***

1.54 pm - I was too full so next time then

*** Oriental kopi PBJ ***

He didn't eat much food during lunch so we ate some snacks at oriental Kopi before going back.

2.33 pm - double coconut Kaya butter toasts MYR 4.90++
Hainanese cham ice MYR 8.90++ which tastes more of milk and tea so I prefer their coffee or white coffee
Half boiled eggs MYR 4.60++

2.34 pm - we ordered only one drink to share.
Penang rojak MYR 16.90++ with fresh fruits: pineapple, jicama, green mango, cucumber and deep fried dough pieces similar to You tiao. They gave too much rojak paste.
Total for 4 items: MYR 40.95 nett.

*** Breakfast Shepard avocado ***

9.22 am - this Shepard Avocado is too ripe so we shared it for breakfast at home before going to PBJ. We ran out of bread at home so that is why I didn't eat it with bread.

Bought green gardenia loaf bread 🍞 MYR 4 and 2 packs of dl blueberries 125g x 2 x MYR 6.99 on offer today at the food merchant supermarket PBJ.

Morning 43.85
Next morning 44.10
Retained 250g water because ate too much carb on the previous day.

*** Krispy Kreme PBJ ***

3.17 pm - I like to see their new limited edition donuts, very creative but too sweet for me so I didn't buy any to try. This time is biscoff theme:
Cookie butter filled
Cookie butter cheesecake
Chocolate Cookie butter crunch

*** The End ***

    1. Crackers? Hhmmm 🤔 I can't remember eating any keropok in any fruits rojak I ate before.

Oriental Kopi rojak has a very crispy deep fried item in it that is similar to you tiao but much more crispier.
