Chicken Feet Dim Sum

On Friday 25.jul.2025, woke up early to accompany the elderly to hospital for the scheduled annual blood test at 8.20 am. After that, went for dim sum. The elderly enjoyed the dim sum and when I asked which dim sum is the best, the answer was everything is tasty 😋 

*** Da Jia Cheng dim sum Connaught ***

8.51 am - steamed braised deep fried chicken feet dim sum MYR 6.50+

The elderly ate the chicken feet with gusto, obviously a favourite dim sum

Different from the bak kit teh chicken feet which were not deep fried but just braised in bak kut teh soup.

8.51 am - 2 bbq pork buns MYR 3+ each

Lotus leaf glutinous rice MYR 7.50+

8.53 am - steamed shrimp 🍤 rice rolls hk ccf MYR 6.50+ per plate. The chili belacan condiment is similar to those provided for chili pan mee with crunchy sugar bits in fragrant dried small shrimps har bee pieces with chili flakes.

8.56 am - my food: shrimp ccf, lotus glutinous rice and ice coffee MYR 3.80+

2 hot glass of tea MYR 0.90+ each

I prefer the lotus glutinous rice to be soft and mushy

8.56 am - steamed fish balls MYR 6.50+

Stuffed Brinjal with fish paste fillings ytf MYR 7+

Total for 11 items: MYR 60 nett. There is a small bowl of century egg pork congee MYR 4.50+ not in the photos.

*** Fu Lu Shou Kopitiam ***

This kopitiam just had its soft opening on 21 July 2025. Located at Seri Gembira Avenue condo, Taman Gembira. Same building as Canton Kitchen restaurant.

10.30 am - kaya planta toasts, eggs, coffee set MYR 9.70 nett 

10.34 am - pork innards kway Chap MYR 12 nett

The soup has heavy star anise or clove taste. I can't tell the difference in taste between these two spices.

*** Intenso Soluble Coffee ***

4.16 pm - I ate the 3 pieces of cakes from Verona bakery bought the previous day with intenso coffee without milk without sugar. The taste of the coffee is very strong and intense, true to its name. Later I ate about 6 slices of whole meal bread with the no salt no sugar peanut butter.
