Fav Food Choy Kei

On Thursday 25.may.2023, went to Choy Kei coffee shop for brunch and bought lunch for the Elderlies from Hiong Mei chapfan eatery and roast meat from the Canton-Z stall nearby which the Elderlies say is very tasty as the siew yuk skin is very crispy and the meat is juicy with the melting fats.

10.57 am - I always order this seafood mihun MYR 10 nett when I eat brunch at Choy Kei coffee shop Happy Garden. This time I requested for no fish paste as I don't like the peppery taste of the fish paste. I like that this seafood mihun has a lot of spring onions.

10.58 am - he ordered dry wanton noodles with roast meat and another wanton soup noodles for the Elderlies.

11.06 am - I couldn't help myself and despite him asking me not to, I went and order 3jc mihun hor fun soup without dark sausage MYR 9 nett. Needless to say I was super full after I ate all the food inclusive of some of his dry wanton noodles. That was my omad.

4.02 pm - he cooked eggs and pchop for his dinner eaten with raw lettuce from a pack of raw vege MYR 6 nett bought from Food merchant supermarket pavilion Bukit Jalil.

I saw a cinema TGV Vivacity Megamall that I am not familiar with the location of the mall and upon searching, the cinema is in Kuching, Sarawak.

Red Dragon Fruit Rice

On Wednesday 24.may.2023, he suggested going to Pavilion Bukit Jalil since we have not been there since Thu 11.may.2023 for our food.

*** Penang Chendul ***

11.46 am - brunch for the both of us. I didn't take the receipt from the cashier so I don't know how much I paid for the above food at Penang chendul pavilion Bukit Jalil.

12.36 noon - from 22.may.2023 to 26.may.2023, there is an offer of buy 1 free one chendul which means MYR 7.90++ for two bowls of original chendul.

12.34 noon - we ordered Pandan nasi lemak rendang chicken MYR 18.90++ which is tasty.

12.52 noon - I ordered two burger king ALA carte burgers at pavilion Bukit Jalil.

Whopper Junior burger MYR 8.90 which I forgot to say no mayo. Next time I must remember to request for no mayo.

Fish burger MYR 8.50 without tartar sauce as I requested.

12.57 noon - two ALA carte burgers which I gobbled on the spot.

1 pm - fish burger without tartar sauce as requested. The fish fillet has flaky white meat and is tasty although a bit on the salty side.

*** Old Nan Yang Kopi & Toast ***

3.07 pm - he bought takeaway food for his dinner on the way home.

4.27 pm - his dinner of red dragon fruit rice chicken MYR 17.90 nett from old nan yang Taman esplanad. Tasty. 😋

Ate Too Much

On Tuesday 23.may.2023, went to do an errand in Sri Petaling so parked the car near RT Pastry bakery. Wanted to eat brunch at Sunny Republic eatery but it is their off day. Next choice was Yitcha Kaw kaw eatery but it is also their off day. Ended up crossing the road to eat brunch at bananabro Sri Petaling. Before that, I went to do the errand and he walked to 126 mixed rice Sri Petaling to buy takeaway lunch for the Elderlies.

11.04 am - two craving sets at MYR 10.90++ each since it is not allowed for two persons to share one craving set so we have to order one each as there are no better alternatives. I upgraded my craving set to change to briyani rice which includes one hard boiled egg by adding MYR 4.90++ so I ate one full bowl of briyani rice for my omad on this day and ended up feeling like my tummy is about to burst.

He ordered iced ginger tea MYR 5.90++ and I ordered iced Nescafe MYR 5.90++ because in hot weather, we need to drink more liquid.

11.07 am - I ordered deep fried boneless chicken cubes MYR 8.90++ and he ordered deep fried squid rings MYR 11.90++ and both dishes are too much for us so he took the remaining home in his chapfan dinner container.

Total price is MYR 68.80 nett.

4.55 pm - his chapfan dinner from 126 mixed rice Sri Petaling with the remaining chicken and squid from bananabro.

Best Omurice Sri Petaling

On Monday 22.may.2023, didn't go out. Just stayed home, he cooked broccoli and frozen mackerels.

*** Sunday 14.may.2023 ***

Sun 14.may.2023 4.52 pm - The popular good value for money Omurice which is Ichiren No Tamashi stall that is located outside Alison coffee shop in Sri Petaling. We were told there were 40 orders in front of us and need to wait 40 minutes so we didn't buy the omurice as we need to deliver dinner to the Elderlies. They told us that the stall starts operating at 3.30 pm so next time we will be there earlier.

4.52 pm - they deep fry chicken chop and chicken cubes onsite so the food is crispy and warm.

*** Saturday 20.may.2023 ***

3.40 pm - this stall only sells two types of meals:

1. Omurice curry boneless deep fried chicken chop

MYR 12 nett plus MYR 1 nett for takeaway packaging. Total price MYR 13 nett. Customers can choose to dine in.

2. Omurice curry boneless deep fried chicken cubes.

4.08 am - they didn't say anything when we placed one takeaway order for omurice curry boneless deep fried chicken and MYR 13 nett so we thought it would not be a long wait. We noticed the buttercup containers used to keep forks and spoons on the counter while waiting and we thought oh no, they use butter to fry the eggs so he wouldn't be able to eat them so I would have to eat the eggs.

4.08 pm - received our order at about 4.10 to 4.20 pm so we waited for about 30 to 40 minutes. While waiting, he walked to 126 Mixed Rice Sri Petaling to buy chapfan dinner for the Elderlies.

4.47 pm - omurice curry boneless deep fried chicken chop rice MYR 13 nett. The curry is tasty with potatoes in it. He kept the eggs which have a bit of butter taste and half a portion of rice for me for another day as I have already eaten my omad. Overall this meal tastes good so it is really good value for money at MYR 13 nett.

*** Monday 22.may.2023 ***

12.36 noon - as we stayed home the whole day, he cooked the 3 long pieces of frozen mackerel fish and cut them into 6 pieces. He also steamed broccoli we bought on Sunday from giant supermarket. He ate 4 pieces of mackerel and half the broccoli for his lunch. For dinner, he just ate bread with bakwa.

4.01 pm - my omad on monday:

1. Two pieces of mackerel and some broccoli he kept for me

2. Remaining Fries and meat chop from Sunday

3. Remaining Pasadena gravy from Wednesday

4. Remaining Curry gravy, eggs, rice from omurice on Saturday.

Macaroni in Tomato Soup

On Sunday 21.may.2023, went to Taman Desa for brunch and to buy Tuck Tuck Tei lunch for the Elderlies. In the evening, went to Fatty Mixed Rice Sri Petaling to buy dinner chapfan for the Elderlies and himself.

10.08 am - his order of spicy sauce whole chicken leg with dry egg noodles.

10 am - one drink each.

10.11 am - My order of macaroni soup in which I selected tomato soup instead of chicken soup. I drank all the tomato soup and wasn't thirsty after that so I guess that there is no MSG in the soup. I like this dish very much so I will order it frequently.

Total price is MYR 52.08 nett after deducting the Cashback from the previous visit collected using beepit. All Day Polo Bun Taman Desa is now one of my favourite eatery.

4.51 pm - his dinner from Fatty Mixed Rice Sri Petaling. He bought 3 packs in total and delivered 2 packs to the Elderlies.

My friend took her father to watch this movie and he enjoyed it a lot.

HoLiao Noodles

On Saturday 20.may.2023, went to Swee Hing coffee shop for our brunch and to buy lunch for the Elderlies. At 3.30 pm, went to Alison coffee shop Sri Petaling to buy omurice for his dinner and also to buy dinner chapfan for the Elderlies from 126 Mixed Rice Sri Petaling.

*** Friday 19.may.2023 ***

1.31 pm - walk to HoLiao Noodles stall to meet up with my friend.

1.35 pm - HoLiao Noodles stall 

2.11 pm - my friend ordered the spinach noodles MYR 8.50 nett but it was sold out so the usual dry noodles has to do.

2.10 pm - Sai Toh fish balls MYR 6.90 nett for 6 balls. I ordered these fish balls because i was still full from brunch so couldn't eat noodles.

2.10 pm - 8 wantons in soup MYR 6.90 nett with a piece of daikon.

2.12 pm - we shared the fish balls and wantons.

2.32 pm - my friend ordered hot plain water 80 cents which was most probably delivered to the customers sharing a table with us because my friend said she didn't receive it and I wasn't paying attention so I already paid MYR 23.10 nett inclusive of the plain water when she told me that she didn't receive the water. Oh well, mistakes happen.

2.57 pm - then we adjourned to a nearby dessert shop where she paid for our desserts as I paid for the noodles. I ate the above bowl of cold bubur chacha.

3 pm - this is the dessert shop where I bought takeaway red bean tong sui and one ma keok fried dough at a total of MYR 5.20 nett.

*** Saturday 20.may.2023 ***

9.18 am - sharing food for brunch: swee hing coffee shop 1 roll of ccf, 2 bittergourd ytf, 2 brinjal ytf, 1 okra ytf MYR 12.60 nett.

9.20 am - trotters wanton noodles dry with sui Gao.

His dinner is from the stall near Alison coffee shop - omurice chicken chop MYR 12 takeaway MYR 1 total MYR 13 nett which we waited 40 minutes for, after placing our order. He bought chapfan dinner for the Elderlies from 126 Mixed Rice Sri Petaling.

Very Satisfying Brunch

On Friday 19.may.2023, went to Aliff eatery for brunch and his dinner takeaway from 126 Mixed Rice Sri Petaling. Then unexpectedly my friend contacted me to let me know that she is having lunch at HoLiao Noodles at 1.30 pm so I walked there to meetup with her and I ate some fish balls and then to the dessert shop for a bowl of bubur chacha.

10.19 am - my plate of food without rice and two iced drinks:

10.16 am - I super like my no rice brunch MYR 12+ of:

1. Mackerel fish from the curry dish

2. Two pieces of brinjal

3. Two cubes of mutton from curry dish

4. Okra

10.20 am - his nasi lemak fried chicken MYR 8+ which is tasty and at a good price 👍

10.20 am - both of us shared this roti canai egg onion MYR 3.3+

10.50 am - total price for a very satisfying brunch for 2 pax at Aliff eatery which is a corner shop unit located next to Swee Hing eatery is only MYR 30.85 nett.

11.58 am - his dinner MYR 10 nett that I bought from 126 mixed rice Sri Petaling.

11.01 am - he dropped me off at 126 Mixed Rice Sri Petaling to buy dinner for him.
