Then we ate the tea eggs bought the previous day from fa lian herbal shop. I ate two tea eggs with two slices of wholemeal bread and he ate one tea egg.

You mentioned that you really like cherry blossoms! There is a YouTube channel which I think you will really enjoy! And Japan does have cherry blossoms! :)
I have suggested this channel to PH, and she has checked out at least one video and she enjoyed it.
The channel is called Mie-Days.
It is a lady in her 50's who lives in a beautiful house in Japan with her husband and daughter. And she has 3 beautiful cats! Their names are Momo Chan, Meru Chan and Mitan! Now sometimes she changes their names (probably words of endearment she uses for them), but their names are as I mentioned above.
Her videos are in Japanese, but she translates them to English, so you just need to click on the CC option and you will be able to follow what is happening.
I have been watching her videos for almost a year now! They are really good! And she has two beautiful paintings on her walls of her 3 cats! Yes, they are so lovely! I don't know who painted them, though, but they are so nice!
