Beef Trio Rice no Rice

On Saturday 25.oct.2025, went to Taman Desa early for food.

*** San Hao Wonton and Dumpling ***

8.36 am - we ordered the above food. Claypot beef belly, honeycomb tripe and tendon MYR 27.90 nett for me as I want to bring it home to eat with the previous day's remaining coriander noodles. This claypot beef includes rice 🍚 but I requested for the rice to be omitted knowing full well that the price will remain the same even without rice but it is ok with me as I don't want to waste the rice 🍚.

8.56 am - total MYR 55.70 nett.

*** Nanyang Street Cafe Taman Desa ***

9.09 am - after San Hao, we walked to Nanyang Street Cafe nearby and ate toasts, eggs 🥚 and coffee one portion shared by two pax. MYR 11.50 nett.

11.21 am - I ate all the remaining Coriander noodles with all the beef dish thus completing my meals for this day.

Coriander Noodles

On Friday 24.oct.2025, went to C Plus Cafe Pinnacle Condo for brunch.

9.43 am - he ordered this nasi lemak chicken rendang set which we shared.

9.46 am - taro toasts and for me, 2 fried eggs.

*** Coriander Noodles ***

Bai Xiang coriander Noodles with 3 sachets.

Green sachet contains dried coriander 

Yellow sachet contains the sauce which is similar to the chili oil paste for chili pan mee

Brown sachet contains the seasoning which is in powder form white colour and tastes salty

I didn't use the brown sachet.

1.26 pm - we bought a pack of frozen bkt soup with pork ribs in it MYR 24.90 nett from the pinnacle condo supermarket and put yesterday's remaining chicken feet and one Wong dai guat in it. After bringing the whole pot of soup and ingredients to a boil, we added in the 3 sachets of dried coriander.

The frozen bkt soup with pork ribs has the name oriental gourmet on the packaging.

I bought a big pack of 5 packets. Gave two packets to my friend and requested him to cook all 3 packets.

3 packets of noodles. We ate one packet and I kept two packets in the fridge for tomorrow.

His remaining trotter vinegar gravy without any trotters in it. I scooped the solidified oil from the top and discarded the oil.

1.30 pm - then I ate the solidified vinegar gravy as jelly. Completed my meals at 3 pm.

Michelin Bak Kut Teh

On Thursday 23.oct.2025, he wanted to try the Michelin recommended bak kut teh Hing Kee at Kepong Baru so we walked to the mrt station at 7.40 am and took the train there.

At Kepong baru, we ate at 4 eateries:

He ordered this claypot of bak kut teh soup with 

皇帝骨aka Wong dai guat only which is a flat piece of bone with a big piece of meaty pork with a bit of fats. Tender and juicy. Very delicious 😋

8.51 am - kaya butter toast 3.2, 2 half boiled eggs 3.6, hot cham drink less sugar 3.3 total MYR 10.70 nett.

As we still have one hour to wait, we went to try this nasi lemak eatery.

9.27 am - turned left into this road and keep walking.

After the nasi lemak, it was 10.30 am so we walked to Hing Kee which is near rhb.

This eatery is facing the elevated mrt tracks.

10.50 am - the soup is the light colour type of bkt soup with strong enough herbs taste. He likes the taste of this bkt soup.

11.15 am - look at the timing from 10.46 am to 11.13 am, about 30 minutes to eat this bkt lunch but we took half the chicken feet home for his early dinner on the next day.

11.16 am - still early so not many customers yet. Not sure why the sign says restoran lau Kim thai

Yesterday he wanted to eat ice desserts at this Fat Boon restaurant after Gemini recommended it to him but today after bkt he says he is too full but I insist we proceed as planned.

11.34 am - he ordered this taro ice with real cubes of taro mixed in the taro paste MYR 11++

11.38 am - I also ordered salted egg yolk prawns without shells which is MYR 25 per 100g vs MYR 18 per 100g for prawns with shells so after I placed the order for without shells I have no idea how much this dish would cost.

Luckily for 10 prawns the price is MYR 40++

The prawns are tasty with fried curry leaves so we ate 5 prawns each.

After that we walked in the drizzle with one umbrella ☔ to the mrt station 1238. Then walked home from 1.16 pm to 1.42 pm.

On Wednesday 22.oct.2025, went for early 8.30 am meetup tung tung ting ting. Then went to Swee Hing coffee shop but it was their off day so went to the roti canai shop behind it but there were many customers still waiting for food. Nearby Ipoh Ipoh cafe is only open at 9 am so we went to Canton-Z to eat roast chicken and Siew yuk aka roast pork.

There is a warning ⚠️ to say these snacks are not a low calorie food. I think it is because the fructose from the fruits are sweet even with no sugar added.

At 11 am, I have completed my meals for this day.

On Tuesday 21.oct.2025, I suggested going to eat my omad at Kokan Kopitiam jln perisa 1 and then at about 2.30 pm, I went to do an errand and he waited for me in Nam Heong pinnacle condo so he ate the evening tea set while waiting.

7.38 am - he ordered 2 soft boiled eggs and hot Cham from the coffee shop operator.

For MYR 24.80 nett, he ordered one pax duck breast meat, one pax chicken thigh, 4 braised eggs from the roast meat stall for us to share.

The duck breast meat is tender and juicy so I will definitely order it again. The braised eggs are ok to be ordered again too.

8.01 am - he also ate stir fry noodles with prawns and beansprouts. The above photo shows the remaining noodles for me.

3.20 pm - he ordered the 3 pm evening tea set MYR 13.10 nett. The president butter is too strong for him so he removed the butter and brought the butter home for me to eat the next day.

On Monday 20.oct.2025, very early morning went to Thong Kee Sri Petaling for breakfast. Then 9.30 am, meetup view. Later in the afternoon at 3.40 pm, went to Fatty Mok for early dinner.

7.41 am - he ordered soft boiled eggs and coffee from Thong Kee main counter. Then we shared prawns chicken strips hor fun noodles soup and yee mee livers pork noodles soup.

12.44 noon - on Sunday 19.oct.2025, he bought this big avocado MYR 5 nett from a fruit truck in Taman segar cheras. One part felt soft so we ate it but most parts are crunchy and taste a bit bitter because it is not ripe enough.
