Curry noodle - MYR5.50 with BBQ pork (char siew). The roast pork (siew yoke) is added in separately.
Broad wanton noodle with BBQ pork (char siew) and wantons (dumplings) - MYR4.50 - one of the very few places in KL where you can get a noodle dish with meat for less than MYR5.
Roast Pork (siew yoke) - MYR5 - Add this into your bowl of curry noodle for extra oommph! I asked for mostly lean meat.
Huge chunks of roast pork (siew yoke) and BBQ pork (char siew) at the counter just lying around.
People queuing to buy the pork meat as takeaways.
Chi Kong - a neighbourhood eatery for breakfast. Just look at the queue for the pork meat.
The eatery is located just outside the 2nd entrance/exit of the new apartment/condo building - Leafz.
I see a lot of meat, trying to cut down on meat recently because of my heart problem
ReplyDeleteTrue many became vegetarian due to health.
DeleteKam ngam, I also had curry noodles with colleagues yesterday, somewhere in Subang.. I love mine with extra foo-pok and siew yok, I want 2 bowls !!
ReplyDeleteVery filling. 2 bowls really?
Deletethe name in Chinese doesn't quite match with Chi Kong, haha.. at first I thought you are blogging about someone with the name of Chi Kong, but hey, this is a foodie blog.. love the curry noodles with char siew and siew yoke!! look so delicious even if you didn't mention at all how it tastes.. :)
ReplyDeleteWith price like that of course taste good. :)
DeletePeople add sambal for extra oomph into their curry noodles....but you add more meat....kekeke! :D
ReplyDeleteBoth also extra oomph lah! :)
DeleteI love roast pork...Our Lechon Cebu (roast pork from Cebu) is considered as one of the best tasting roast pork in the country.. but honestly... trying to refrain myself from eating too much haha... coz you know.. they are too much in cholesterol hehe
ReplyDeleteOh my spouse would love to taste the Lechon Cebu since it is best tasting.
DeleteSien, their roast pork sliced until like sashimi. So thin... zzzz...
ReplyDeleteYou can say ah pak ng sai chit and just buy one slab. :)
DeleteRoast pork looks really good, not dry. Chi Kong sounds like some Chinese martial art... :D
ReplyDeleteBecause the slab is thick so when cut they are not dry.
DeleteI will zoom in for the siew yoke hee..hee..
ReplyDeleteLike those people in the queue.
DeleteWow meat paradise!
ReplyDeleteHehehe. :)
Deletethis place is in salak selatan jst before the junction turning into Besraya? I know about the Leafz but not so much of its surrounding eateries....the curry noodles looks good with a lot of taupok....yumzzz
ReplyDeleteYou are right. It is at taman ss.
Deletetaman ss has another famous curry noodles - it's Fatty Mok (if I got it correct)...it has been years since I last went there...not sure of their standard now...
DeleteI always go eat there. The pork ribs curry there is still very nice. This is near there.
DeleteI know a few cheap less than RM5 and nice wanton noodles places, around Jinjang and Kepong there.
ReplyDeleteIn neighborhood eateries there will be a few affordable place.
DeleteSo many siew yoke in one post!! I love siew yok. Go well in almost anything!!!
ReplyDeleteMeat lovers united!
DeleteMun, the bowl of curry noodle so full of goodies looks so very good and delicious. And the price is like Ipoh, not expensive.
ReplyDeleteHope the price doesn't go up.
DeleteI love roast pork but I'm a real fussy eater. I won't eat if it's not crispy. Oops! Hahaha! xoxo
ReplyDeleteBut only the skin is crispy so you eat thr skin only?
DeleteMmm siew yok, Aden and my all time favorite! :p
ReplyDeleteSmart choice!
DeleteWow!! I love the roast porks. Not healthy but it makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteI know this place now after seeing the Leafz photo as I helped an agency to do all the copywriting and they won an award as the first eco-friendly condo in the country. I myself was impressed with their concept to use maximum sunlight, ventilation and recycle rain waters to wash cars, water the plants etc.
You are really a man of many talents. You can do copywriting!
