For cendol, I will always go to a branch of TeoChew Chendul or the still-can-be-considered-new food court at Four Seasons Place KL.
Surprisingly, this branch at Nu Sentral Mall does not charge 6% SST so the price is MYR 6.10 nett instead of MYR 6.50 nett. Unfortunately this mall is not in my usual shopping circuit so I seldom get to eat here.

For the main meals, I have tried Assam Laksa, Pandan Nasi Lemak Rendang Chicken, Penang Prawn Mee and Penang Curry Mee and found them to be acceptable.
For the delightful snacks, after trying Chee Cheong Fun, Kuang Jiang, Pandan Chicken, Penang Fruit Rojak, and Sotong KangKung, I will order the Fruit Rojak again.

For the ice desserts, I have only tried the original Chendul which is my favourite and the original ABC which I don't quite like.
As for the beverages, I have had the hot Cocoa drink once because at that time, I had to choose a drink since I ordered a set lunch of 1 noodle, 1 delight item and 1 drink for only MYR 18.90 nett back in Jan this year (2018). I felt that I could have done without the drink because I was just too full after eating the cendol and the main dish.
What is that Kuang Jiang?
ReplyDelete潮州光锵 is a roll deep fried filled with sometimes yam, white radish, jicama and peanuts. I don't know what the fillings for this shop is,
DeleteIt looks extra milky, certainly does not look like what's in the pictures. I wouldn't mind more gula Melaka.
ReplyDeleteIt is sweet enough, there is a lot of gula melaka hidden from view in the ice.
DeleteIpoh has a branch too.. but normally I go to the roadside famous chendol in Bercham.. queuing up to get a bowl is really worth the wait.
ReplyDeletePeng leng cheng! The famous cendol in bercham.
DeleteSurprising indeed, would have thought any outlet at Nu Sentral wouldn't be cheaper than other outlets.
ReplyDeleteThe last outlet I tried was at the Curve - not nice so I'm laying off Teochew Cendol for a while.
I just ate the original cendol at IPC/the curve. I find it tasty as before. What did you eat there that you find is nit nice?
DeleteAlso the more savoury than sweet part
ReplyDeleteEh, usually their cendol is more sweet than salty.
