On Sunday 14.sep.2025, went to a new eatery at South Link Bangsar South for lunch. They have MYR 9.90 meal set offer on weekends. Normal price is MYR 22.80 so it is a very good offer.
We parked the car at Nexus basement parking. MYR 2 nett per entry for the whole Sunday. Then we walked to South Link which is a short distance.

8.51 am - ate deep fried whole chicken leg nasi lemak MYR 6.80++ again at the Amah branch at The Sphere. Also ordered toast, eggs, coffee breakfast set. Added one fried egg MYR 1.80 which is 20 cents lower than the fried egg at the Midvalley Mall branch. Total MYR 17.50 nett.

We were talking about chicken chow mein in one of your previous posts. I just looked it up in Google and here is the description. It does contain bean sprouts! Perhaps it is different in Asia, but here in North America (Canada), here are the ingredients. It does also say Chinese noodles. But I remember there being more bean sprouts. This could be because when you have rice, this is already a carb. So to have potatoes or noodles, you are only adding to the carbs, which isn't particularly a good thing. Protein and carbs pair well together, but too many carbs is not good. Not sure other than that, but I am just guessing this could be why. I do love bean sprouts, though, and I do love the chicken chow mein here! :) (please scroll further to see the list of ingredients I found in Google)

Ah, it is reasonable because in many dry stir fry noodles dishes here, there would be bean sprouts so for a chicken noodles to have bean sprouts is very common. Thanks for looking it up those though. Good to know that you like bean sprouts.
DeleteIt is my pleasure, dear friend. I wanted to see what the internet said about it, because I don't know why it is becoming rarer to find! Chicken chow mein has been around for many, many years, and has always had bean sprouts. I know there is one restaurant that still has it, though, but it is further away from me. I will keep looking and see who still has it on the menu in the Chinese restaurants.
