Steamed Chicken Rice

On Monday 31.jul.2023, went to Pavilion Bukit Jalil and he tried the steamed chicken rice at Oriental Kopi.

11.48 am - he saw an elderly couple having one chicken rice each so he was curious and ordered it to try. The chicken rice is soft and flavourful. The ginger dip goes well with the steamed chicken thigh. No wonder the elderly couple ordered this chicken rice.

11.40 - our favourite mihun chicken dish with a cup of hot coffee.

12.17 noon - total price is MYR 47.80 nett.

3.51 pm - bought 2x400g pistachios and 1x400g cashew nuts at an offer price of MYR 100 nett for 3 packs.

Lucky Garden Kopitiam

On Sunday 30.jul.2023, woke up at around 5ish in the morning so went for brunch early and to buy lunch for the Elderlies.

8.04 am - one big portion of dry 3jc mihun horfun to share MYR 12 nett. The regular portion costs MYR 10 nett. My iced Cham less sweet drink MYR 3 nett and his hot cham less sweet MYR 2.20 nett.

We noticed a poster stating that this ming hin 3jc noodles stall has a branch in Bukit Jalil.

8.12 am - MYR 10 nett lean char siew for both of us to share.

8.17 am - my portion of all the food and drink. I ate them while he walked to nearby coffee shops to buy lunch for the Elderlies. He bought chapfan no rice and a fried fish for them and also one pack of 3jc horfun mihun soup regular MYR 10 nett.

He also bought a slice of pineapple MYR 2 nett for me and a slice of papaya MYR 2.50 nett for himself .

8.37 am - Brunch at Lucky Garden Kopitiam Bangsar Baru.

3.37 pm - our early dinner of chapfan no rice. Total price MYR 21.80 nett.

Saturday is always Duty Day

On Saturday 29.jul.2023, went to Swee Hing to buy the Elderlies' lunch and to eat our brunch. In the evening he went on his own to Fatty Mixed Rice Sri Petaling to buy the Elderlies' dinner.

10.53 am - our brunch at Swee Hing coffee shop. His pork trotter wanton noodles MYR 11 nett and my ingredients only kampar no noodles mixed items in soup MYR 10 nett.

For the Elderlies' lunch:

1. Pork trotter wanton noodles dry MYR 11 nett.

2. Roast chicken thigh and siew yuk MYR 15 nett.

10.59 am - I added the remaining tsukemen noodles from yesterday into my bowl of kampar ingredients items to clear it from the fridge.

12.09 noon - in the morning before we went out for brunch, he blanched broccoli bought on Wednesday. Some broccoli for the Elderlies and some broccoli for us.

5.05 pm - he bought 3 packs of chapfan no rice with just 1 of 3 with rice MYR 17 nett from Fatty Mixed Rice Sri Petaling when he went on his own. His chapfan no rice is kailan and tomato omelette.

When he got home, he reheated the remaining ka Wan and ka Chak bought from Pao Xiang BKT on Thursday and ate them with broccoli and the chapfan no rice. I ate a bit of his dinner. Then we finished up the cherries 600g MYR 39.90 about 57 cherries, bought on Wednesday.

Kurobuta Roast Meat

On Friday 28.jul.2023, went to Midvalley Mall because on Wednesday he saw a ramen set lunch that looks appetising.

11.31 am - his black garlic ramen set MYR 24.90++ with a green tea drink, two pieces of fried boneless chicken and one onsen egg.

This is the promo menu he saw on Wednesday.

11.13 am - small rice bowl dishes, just right for me as I don't want to eat too much rice.

So I ordered small chicken aburi rice with grated japanese yam, tororo yamaimo which has a slimy texture MYR 14.80++ but was later cancelled because the yam is not available.

11.33 am - I then decided to order tsukemen because the specialty of this eatery is tsukemen.

11.32 am - wanted to order the one with two types of cheese but then he reminded me not to let him smell the cheese so I ordered the one without the cheese dip. Added 2 slices of kurobuta roast meat by adding MYR 10++ to the base item.

11.39 am - my order Roast Meat Tsukemen MYR 42.80++ with 5 slices of meat instead of 3 slices. I selected cold noodles so the slices of meat are also cold although the plate is warm. I took half of the cold tsukemen noodles home for another day. The noodles are al dente and firm to bite. The dipping broth has meat cubes and tiny pieces of yuzu peels in it. The broth is flavourful and I can detect Yuzu taste in it.

11.39 am - close up of the 5 slices of kurobuta Roast Meat. He ate one slice and took home 4 slices.

12.09 noon - total price is MYR 78.55 nett. 

12.12 noon - House of Tsukemen at the Gardens Mall.

12.13 noon - long queue at Lucky Mala Noodle eatery which is opposite the House of Tsukemen eatery.

12.14 noon - he queued up to buy hot cham Kaw Kaw drink MYR 7.50 nett at Bungkus Kaw Kaw kiosk which is next to Lucky Mala Noodle eatery.

12.35 noon - Hotpot Kitchen eatery on level 2, Midvalley Mall also has a very long queue.

1.13 noon - plants decor at an event at Midvalley Mall.

4.49 pm - he shallow fried the 4 slices of kurobuta Roast Meat with asparagus that we bought from aeon Supermarket today for his dinner. I ate all the asparagus above as he has already eaten his portion.

Ka Wan Ka Chak

On Thursday 27.jul.2023, he went to buy takeaway lunch for the Elderlies from Tim Won: congee and MYR 10 nett for chapfan no rice. Then he picked me up and went to Pinnacle condo to have lunch at Pao Xiang BKT eatery.

All the items we ordered without rice. I drank the coconut water, ate the coconut meat and ate 1.5 hard boiled eggs. He ate the meat and took home half the portion for another day.

Ka Chak MYR 25 nett. Ka Wan MYR 23 nett.

Total price is MYR 73.10 nett.

Pao Xiang BKT eatery inside pinnacle condo Sri Petaling.

After that I ate the remaining rice beef from yesterday beef omurice and the remaining half avocado from yesterday to clear them from the fridge.

Beef Steak Omurice

On Wednesday 26.jul.2023, I requested to go to Midvalley Mall for lunch even though it was near lunch hours at 11.50 am and the mall would be filled with office people out for lunch. I selected Tamago-En eatery because I wanted to eat salmon but changed my mind and ended up eating beef steak.

12.36 noon - my beef steak omurice set with ice lemon tea and mushroom soup MYR 31.90++ with add on mini salad MYR 3.50++ which has a bit of sourish tangy mayonnaise dressing. The butter rice is similar to Calrose rice which is short and fat and the portion of rice is quite a lot so I took 70% of the rice home and half the beef steak. The thin beef steak is quite tender and tastes good. The beef gravy tastes ok. The broccoli is almost raw and I am fine with eating crunchy almost raw broccoli. The egg omelette has butter in it.

12.43 noon - his chicken and egg rice set with miso soup and iced lemon tea drink MYR 20++ which he didn't drink much.

12.58 noon - the dessert is a small piece of chocolate cake which is just right because we were very full near the end of the meal.

1.14 pm - total bill MYR 68.30 nett. I will be back for the salmon omurice, prawn pasta and unagi don.

1.15 pm - Tamago-En eatery. On its right is Yaoi eatery.

1.17 pm - on its left is Mogu Yakiniku eatery.

*** Early Dinner ***

3.42 pm - he cooked liver, pork trimmings with ginger and tong ho vegetables and we ate it for dinner. The ingredients are bought today from Jaya Grocer. I also bought blueberries and 600 g of cherries MYR 39.90 nett from Jaya Grocer. There are 54 cherries and I ate 17 cherries at one go after dinner.

Frozen Spinach

On Tuesday 25.jul.2023, went to Golden Chopsticks coffee shop to buy takeaway lunch for the Elderlies and to have our brunch.

10.48 am - our chapfan no rice lunch.

Undecided

On Monday 24.jul.2023, he didn't plan to go out but suddenly changed his mind and went to park the car at pinnacle condo basement car park. Then both of us walked to Fatty Mixed Rice Sri Petaling and ate chapfan no rice for brunch.

12.27 noon - my chapfan no rice MYR 11 nett with foc soup of the day which is old cucumber soup:

1. Pumpkin

2. Broccoli

3. Yinchoy

4. Deep fried mackerel fish with a bit mushy meat so he says that it isn't that fresh.

1.11 pm - he bought one whole chicken leg MYR 9 nett for his dinner.

1.54 pm - I ate all the remaining mihun ginger wine soup from yesterday, cold directly from the fridge.
