We returned to eat at Hong Kong Sheng Kee Dessert eatery at One Utama after our
initial visit about two months ago.
Beef Tendon Hor Fun - MYR17.36 nett. The beef is a bit on the tough side.
Ordered this again because it is tasty - chewy glutinous rice with real mango inside - Mango Rice Roll - MYR6.87 nett
Mango Pomelo Sago with ice shavings - MYR10.37 nett. Excellent for those who love to eat mango and ice shavings. I prefer this than the mango pomelo sago by THW because there are no ice shavings in the latter and I like to eat ice shavings.
when i was in HK 10 yeas ago, i tried this Yong Ji Gam Lo (aka mango pomelo sago) for the very first time and right away fell in love with it.. if not mistaken it was something new and my colleague recommended that to me.. i now prefer this to the honeydew sago which i have been liking, hehehe~~
ReplyDeleteHK's mango desserts like this are the best. I ate them for nearly every meal when I was in HK until I put on a few kgs.
DeleteI must go there one day and try what you like :)
ReplyDeleteThe mango desserts are nice.
DeleteI just passed that restaurant last night. This will be my next place for dinner since you have shared that Mango Rice Roll. It is yummy looking and makes my eyes & mouth rolling too.
ReplyDeleteAha, so you go to One Utama very often then.
DeleteI thought you knew it is walking distance from my home.
DeleteI know you live quite near 1U but I did not know that it is that near until can walk there unless you are a marathon man so your walking distance does not mean that I can manage to walk the same distance as you. :)
DeleteI haven't try the THW at mid valley, but I've tried the one at HK and it was so nice...
ReplyDeleteTHW is at One Utama too, closer to your place.
DeleteYummmsss!! I like the above combination, the noodles looks great too! Tender hor fun looks very tempting!
ReplyDeleteThe beef tendons are ok but the beef meat is a bit tough.
DeleteMango rice roll is interesting!
ReplyDeleteIt is very tasty too, especially if you like to eat the texture of mochi.
DeleteLove the look of the first two, the mango pomelo sago - I would have to try and see. That looks like alot of the mango sauce. Love those sago pearls.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of shaved ice below the mango puree so it is just right.
DeleteBoth the mango desserts are tempting me. I love mangoes.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteMe me me! Me loves mango much much! Long time I have not touched mango already, because too lazy to cut and peel if buy whole from AEON. Last time I used to hang out at Kei Tak Sek at somewhere near Imbi, their mango desserts all my favorites.
ReplyDeleteHehehe, I am the same as you, too lazy to choose fresh mango fruits from supermarket to cut and eat. The hardest part of eating a mango is to ensure that no flesh and juice is left on the seed, to totally clean the seed.
DeleteI once had this in Luk Yu Tea House in Starhill and they gave such a big bowl that I felt very "jelat" afterwards...couldn't finish, of course. I do love mangoes and sago but dare not order this nowadays as some comes in a rather thick consistency. This one with shaved ice could be different as it'll help thin it out.
ReplyDeleteI ate in Luk Yu Tea House once before but did not order this. You can share it with your friends if it is a big bowl.
DeleteOh mine, I am eyeing the Mango rice roll, it looks so tempting!
ReplyDeleteI myself feel like eating it again after looking at its photo.
