THW at 1U
Stir Fried Pork Hor Fun - MYR17.38 (inclusive 10% service charge and 6% GST). Not salty at all, just right for me. The spring onion fragrance enhanced the taste of this dish so it was quite delicious.
Trio Steamed Dumplings - MYR14.08 - and I forgot what special item is inside each dumpling.
These are the 3 new items but we ordered only two.
We ordered other food as well but since I have written about them before I did not do it here again. The Ma Lai Ko still tastes better than other places but not as good as those we ate on our previous visit but I still like it.

At long last
My friend went to Australia and bought me these because I was forever wondering how they taste like.
The caramel is too sweet for me and I could only taste a tinge of saltiness. Now I know for sure, I don't like to eat caramel because it is sticky and ends up sticking to my teeth. As can be seen from the photo above, the caramel is only available in the middle of the biscuit.
This is sweet too (oh, what do I expect, there are sweet chocolate coated biscuits afterall). Someone who ate this said that it tastes like those raspberry wafers. What can I say - our tastebuds are not sophisticated nor sensitive enough to taste the refine flavour.
9 pieces in each pack. I think my friend bought these two packs at the Melbourne airport for AUD3.90 each.

Fish Thai Laksa
Last week, the dishes that we wanted to order were sold out so we went to Old Siam again this week to complete the mission.
We ordered a bowl of red rubies again (Thab Thim Krob) - MYR7.90 (MYR8.79 after GST 6% and service charge 5%) at Old Siam at One Utama Shopping Mall.
Ordered two sets of Fish Thai Laksa - MYR12.90 (MYR14.36 after 6% GST and 5% service charge) each. The egg is not a salted egg despite having an orange yolk.
Fried fish which is not crunchy anymore and too little fish in the laksa curry although the curry is very creamy (lemak).
Khao Khai Palo (pork belly not pork knuckle as I thought before) - MYR12.90 (MYR14.36 after 6% GST and 5% service charge). Heart shaped rice with red chilies for eyes and green coriander as the mouth.
Orange yolk not-salted egg again. The braised pork belly is not as flavourful as we expected it to be. Light soy sauce with a tinge of sweetness.

Sold out
I read about Old Siam from "Ling In De House" and decided to eat there one day when we were in One Utama. We were there in the evening and the popular dishes such as Thai style pork knuckle rice and fish green curry were all sold out so we had to settle for other dishes.
Pork Green Curry. The noodles were served dry.
Beef noodles - the beef slices were quite tough
Red Ruby - lots of coconut milk
Thai tea - very milky
There were 4 of us so we ordered another dish - fried rice with pork or is it chicken slices. I think this dish is for children since it is served so prettily. The prices here were between MYR15 to 20,

Messy Mee
This is supposed to be Mee Jawa but it looks really bad and it does not taste that good either. Definitely not coming back for this again.

Too peppery
For a change, we ordered the deep fried pepper and salt prawns. Can't see the prawns from this angle.
This angle is much better. I find this dish too salty for me. Won't be ordering this again.
Can't go wrong with the beef noodles
This is some sort of seafood noodles. Taste quite nice. I am not sure whether or not the plate of herbs next to it is for this seafood noodles or not.
Glass Roll - a bit too dry and hard so won't be ordering this again also

Mee Suah with dried scallops and abalone slices - MYR15.90 - I am not sure whether it is mushroom abalone or real abalone. Passable dish
Double boiled chicken soup mee suah - MYR15.90 - I did not expect the bowl of soup to be such a small portion. Just passable.

Gone
I was walking around the top floor of MidValley Mall when I felt that something was amiss. The space above was occupied by a stall last time. I wrote about the stall Marvellous Egg Co back in Dec 2014 and April 2015 when they added rice meal to their menu and now it is gone. I wonder were they just testing the market with that stall to see whether the business is viable or not?

MaLaiKo
Saw this steamed cake made from brown sugar (MaLaiKo) listed in the Dim Sum Menu so ordered it.
I find it on the dry side and not as tasty as the one sold by Tim Ho Wan. This one does not have the fragrance of the brown sugar like the other one. Guess I will have to go back to THW to eat this although it is more expensive there.

So so tasty!
Went early to Klang for the famous Bak Kut Teh. Only MYR10 per bowl for the above.
The whole skin is very soft, gooey and flavourful too - oh so tasty!
It is just 8am but so many people there eating bak kut teh
