Crispy Thin Flatbread

On Monday 2.nov.2026, I ate omad at 8 am so completed 22 hours of water fasting from 10 am the previous day. Could have done another 2 hours but 8 am is our usual eating time so I just follow the routine. Ate omad at Soon Hing Sri Petaling.

*** Da Niu Bake Pie Sri Petaling ***

Ate the signature guokui or Shaanxi baked pie aka crispy flatbread on Saturday 31oct2026 evening.

The shop name is Da Niu aka 倧牛 because the founder is Daniel Lim. There is no beef on the menu.

We ordered two popular savoury flavours:
Spicy lamb 12 which I request for non spicy πŸ˜‚
Mui choy pork 10
Red bean and mung bean tong Sui 7.5 each
Total MYR 37 nett

The flatbread is thin and crispy. Very flavourful.
Eating just one won't be enough.
Not oily at all.
Freshly baked upon order so it is warm but cool down quickly because it is very thin.
I will be back to try more flavours.

Must eat when warm so I fear getting sore throat πŸ˜‚
I think I can eat many pieces because they are easy to eat and tasty 🀀 πŸ˜‹

*** Soon Hing Sri Petaling ***

8.08 am - I ordered quarter top duck MYR 25+ tender and juicy πŸ˜‹ but I don't like dealing with the bones
He ordered:
Breakfast value set 9.9+
Gingko barley hot drink 4.5+
Beef dry noodles 13.50+
Total MYR 56.05 nett

8.08 am - the beef dry noodles with beef which is not that tough but still my teeth cannot handle

8.11 am - kaya margarine toasts with tasty kaya πŸ˜‹

8.20 am - soft boiled eggs

I completed omad at 9 am.

Morning 45.50
Next morning ??.??

*** Blue blue sky ***

8.59 am - no clouds at all

*** PassF 2 ***

Plants and grass still growing well.

*** The End ***

    1. Thanks for the heads-up on the turning back one hour of the clock.
The clock on your blog is very useful.
Do you eat margarine sometimes? I know you do eat butter.

  4. Thanks for the review of Da Niu Baked Pie. Based on your description, I believe I would also enjoy it. As for the roast duck at Soon Hing, can they debone the duck if your request?

    1. Welcome πŸ€—πŸ˜
Yes I believe you will like it too and one is definitely not enough for you cos the mouth will feel like want to eat more πŸ˜‚
I am not sure they will debone the duck or not when request. Maybe they don't have the skill to do so πŸ€”
I think after debone may have less meat because some meat are sticking to the bone. πŸ€” πŸ€”
