On Monday 14.jul.2025, I suggested that we go to Swee Hing coffee shop for food because it has been quite some time that I didn't eat char kway teow.
*** Swee Hing coffee shop ***
10.57 am - char kway teow with duck egg and mixed with yellow noodles. Around MYR 13 and a bit on the salty side.
10.54 am - he ordered siew yuk and steamed chicken MYR 20 nett.
The cold cham C kosong drink, hot cham less sweet and 2 soft boiled eggs cost MYR 9.10 nett.
At home, I ate one small red apple.
Morning 44.2
Next morning 44.00
Completed my meals early at about 1 pm so removed 200g of water.
*** His early dinner ***
2.42 pm - he remembers that he has remaining ready to eat naan in the fridge so he bought takeaway onion chili chicken thigh MYR 7+ and cabbage MYR 3+ and ate them with one piece of cold naan. I didn't eat anything from his early dinner.

Fascinating post, I learn so much, thank you, Mun! I have never tried duck eggs before. I have eaten duck, though...such as in a duck leg, it is very good. I believe that duck eggs are sold here in Montreal as well as quail eggs, turkey eggs and goose eggs, but I have only tried chicken eggs.

I have eaten duck eggs, chicken eggs and quail eggs but haven't tried turkey and goose eggs. I have also eaten Fish roes.
DeleteDuck eggs are bigger and the consistency is stickier for soft boiled eggs. The duck egg yolks are creamier and richer eggier in taste.

ReplyDeleteThe cabbage is very salty I would say and the onion chili chicken very flavourful. Hahaha, once in a while I will eat ckt after so long didn't eat. As long as I do Omad and complete my meals at 2 pm latest, my blood sugar next morning is ok, around 5 so I guess I can eat high carb food such as ckt and fried rice early before noon and then close for the day, hehehe 😁

Sometimes when ask for less salty, the seller will pandai pandai go put more oil to make it tasty 😂
