McVitie Jaffa Cakes

On Tuesday 19.nov.2024, I suggested to him to go back to Fei Fei because it is near and yesterday he thought of eating curry ribs wanton noodles so we could eat it today.

Thursday 14.nov.2024 1.43 pm - 4x10 Jaffa cakes in one long box MYR 45.90 nett bought from the food merchant supermarket PBJ.

8.41 am - no pork ribs curry today, just curry chicken so he ate curry chicken wanton mee.

8.47 am - 2 soft boiled eggs and only one iced drink cham for both of us to share.

8.55 am - I ordered less hand torn pan mee in tomato soup and added one hard boiled egg MYR 14.50 nett from the same stall that I bought yellow wine chicken rice from yesterday. Passable.

9.29 am - Then he walked to the new eatery Hui Ong Coffee Shop next to Print Lab and bought roast duck MYR 10 nett and sweet spicy sour mustard vege MYR 6 nett.

2.11 pm - duck MYR 10 nett spicy sour sweet mustard leaves MYR 6 nett 

2.14 pm - he cooked the last remaining pack of instant noodles and ate them dry with the mustard leaves and duck and kept the remaining duck meat in the mustard leaves gravy and store in the fridge.

3.32 pm - I ate the red bean bun from yesterday 

4.29 pm - I also ate all the frozen but still scoopable pistachio Sofuto which has a somewhat oily taste that I can't get rid of from my mouth. I wouldn't know that the flavour is pistachio if they didn't print the label pistachio.

Magnum Mango Yogurt

On Monday 18.nov.2024, he read online about a place nearby that serves pork trotters so we went there for brunch.

Thu 14.nov.2024, 11.01 am - bought one MYR 5.30 nett from speedmart after seeing the poster.

Cold and sweet with mango taste and yogurt taste which is a bit sourish. The outer layer with crunchy bits are sweeter than the yogurt and mango.

*** Fei Fei Kopitiam ***

From online, he noticed a coffee shop nearby that sells pork trotters called Fei fei Kopitiam 肥肥咖啡厅located at Midfield Square, Taman Sungai Besi nearby midfields condo so we went there for brunch on Monday 18.nov.2024.

9.40 am - he ordered braised pork trotters wanton noodles dry and added char siew.

9.52 am - I ordered this yellow wine ginger chicken fried egg with half portion of rice MYR 16 nett from another stall in the same coffee shop. The yellow wine ginger gravy is tasty but I prefer it to be less salty. He says he can detect a bit of nam yue taste in the gravy.

9.52 am - two soft boiled eggs for him.

9.46 am - coffee and eggs, didn't order toasts because they use planta instead of butter.

9.39 am - I ordered the rice from this stall that also sells pan mee.

9.35 am - there are about 4 to 5 different stalls in this coffee shop.

10.31 am - bought gardenia green wholemeal bread loaf and red bean oyaki bun. Saw a new flavour which is pistachio Sofuto so bought a cup to try. I won't be able to tell that the flavour is pistachio. 😂

We went and bought dried Loquat on shopee because some shopeecoins are going to expire soon. Bought from 3 different stores and received two with one still on the way. Bought on 14nov2024 and received on 18nov2024.

10.38 am - 300g dried loquat from Cheng Woh Penang with list price MYR 17, promo price MYR 15.18, used 254 shopeecoins and discount vouchers, paid MYR 7.64 nett inclusive of delivery fees. Very salty and very sweet and very crunchy.

The container of dried loquat with bamboo salt, 202g from kl with list price MYR 19.50, promo price MYR 15.50, used 387 shopeecoins, paid MYR 11.63 nett inclusive of delivery fees. Salty and sweet but softer, not as crunchy.

Very appetizing so once start cannot stop eating although steam is going out from my ears because they are so so so salty and so so so sweet.

Hhhmmm how to eat all of them since they are so sweet and so salty? 😅

Cham Lor Char Siew

On Sunday 17.nov.2024, he read online about this Wing On premium char siew stall located in this eatery called Taman Desa Yong Tau Fu & Dim Sum in Taman Desa so we went to try the char siew early morning.

After that we ate toasts at Yitcha Kaw Kaw Taman Desa to wait till 10.30 am because I am meeting up with my friend at 10.40 am to pass 30 green apples and 20 oranges MYR 75 nett to them.

*** Wing On Premium Char Siew ***

8.34 am - cham lor = prawn mee soup mixed with lor mee gravy.

Online this stall can be found by the name Wing On Noodles Shop 永安小食馆

They call the premium char siew as Bo lei aka glass char siew because it is glistening like glass due to the melting fatty parts and the glazed caramelised coatings. He chose all the food. I wanted to order ytf but ytf is only available after 9 am and it was only 8+ am when we were there.

8.34 am - he ordered a mixed of prawn mee soup and log mee gravy called cham lor noodles. Rich and flavourful.

8.35 am - small portion of wanton mee and premium char siew with caramelised glazed coatings and melting fats layer. We prefer the char siew meat to be softer.

7.40 am - this avocado 🥑 is mushy on the outer layer and crunchy inside but still edible so we ate it all.

4.42 pm - he drank the 2nd portion of the diy daikon red carrots ribs dried oysters pepper soup for his early dinner. I didn't eat any because I completed my omad at 11 am earlier.

10.56 am - yesterday I noticed the lightbulb 💡 hanging on one side due to the cracked plastic base of the light encasement so I climbed up a ladder to remove the lightbulb 💡 and taped the remaining plastic case to the cement ceiling.
