Prepaid Yitcha Kaw Kaw

On Sunday 24.nov.2024, early morning at 8 am, discussed about where to go for food. I wanted to eat chapfan at Tuck tuck Tei but chapfan is only available later than 8.30 am, not sure what time so the places we discussed about are:

1. Lubiantan ABC Yulek cheras which he told me about earlier this week but he says too far and grab per trip is about MYR 15 ish so MYR 30 ish to and fro which he feels he doesn't want to fork out this time.

2. Memories Taste at Sungai Besi which I am not keen about because I feel it is located quite close to the main Sungai Besi road.

3. Taste and Memories at Taman Desa which I have been to a few years ago before the pandemic with my office friend for lunch. At that time I didn't see much items that I want to eat and ended up ordering a big bao for lunch.

After discussing for way too long without a consensus reached, it was 8.30 am and we ended up at yitcha Kaw Kaw Taman Desa.

8.49 am - I ordered a bowl of hot ginger tong Sui sweet potatoes MYR 4.90++ which is only available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I like to drink their ginger tong Sui because it has strong ginger taste, not very sweet and has many pieces of sweet potatoes.

8.50 am - his small hot white coffee which is not sweet by default MYR 3.90++ and I ordered one hard boiled egg MYR 1.50++ for my protein.

8.51 am - he ordered one portion of soft boiled eggs which means 2 eggs MYR 3.60++ and he also ordered Ipoh authentic curry mee with Hakka mee MYR 13.90++

8.55 am - Ipoh thin sliced toast Kaya butter double MYR 5.50++ is a must order for me because I like the thinnest feel of the toast.

9.03 am - my portion of his curry mee and I put the hard boiled egg into the curry gravy. This curry gravy is a robust curry which tastes strong and a bit bitter, not sweet.

Total MYR 38.65 nett

I plan to complete my Omad at 10 am with this brunch but at 2.32 pm, he ate avocado 🥑 and gave me half so I ate the half avocado 🥑 with 3 slices of bread and a bit of his sc's salted butter.

2.32 pm - he has eaten half avocado 🥑 so I ate half 🥑 also with 3 slices of whole meal bread.

Banana Leaf Less Rice

On Saturday 23.nov.2024, went to midvalley mall.

After I walked around for a long long time looking at various eateries and don't feel like eating anything in them, he decided that we should go eat banana leaf rice.

12.28 noon - I ordered the single pax craving set MYR 13.90++ with unlimited refills of the rice, cabbage, cucumber and deep fried item. I only took one scoop of rice without any curry gravy and two helpings of the cool cucumbers. I also ordered one portion of mutton varuval MYR 19.90++ which he didn't eat at all.

He ordered 1 pax combo MYR 16.90++ which consists of 1 craving set, 1 drink which he upgraded to the tarik lawa hot by paying an extra MYR 0.99++ and he chose chicken 65 add-on by topping up MYR 5.90++

Right: mutton varuval MYR 19.90++ which is tender enough but my teeth are too weak so there are some pieces of mutton which I just swallowed without chewing them thoroughly. The taste of the mutton varuval is nice. 😋

Salted Egg Yolk Soup

On Friday 22.nov.2024, went out nearby for brunch early in the morning. Did gardening on the porch roof because it looked as if it was going to rain, to avoid the hot sun and there was this resilient ficus plant growing out from the cement roof that needed weeding before it grows larger.

At 4 pm, went out again for early dinner because gardening made us hungry and thirsty.

4.10 pm - his special noodles for this day: century egg pork mix noodles in garlic 🧄 salted egg yolk pork bone soup MYR 19.90++ with hor fun as his selected noodle type.

There are about 12 cloves of garlic in the rich thick soup and a few small pieces of ginger. Crunchy ju Yao zhar as toppings.

4.14 pm - my evening tea set MYR 17.80++

I wanted to eat the macao pork chop and as I like to eat instant noodles I ordered this macao pork chop nissin instant noodles thinking that it is the soup type but it turned out to be the dry type. The glass of iced cham which is included in this set is very refreshing.

I like the taste of the macao pork chop because it is 100% lean meat marinated in garlic seasoning. Will have it again, maybe in a burger form as there is a macao pork chop burger in the menu.

The nissin instant noodles turned out to be indomie noodles mixed in the dry seasoning and oil given in the indomie sachets.

9.39 am - I climbed up the ladder 🪜 to get onto the cement roof of the car porch.  Can you see the ladder 🪜? The cement roof is about 13 feet in height.

9.39 am - this resilient ficus plant has been removed but the roots are firmly and deeply embedded in the cement so I think it will grow again very soon.

11.22 am - loquat snack, all the way from overseas. 250g pack took 7 days from 14nov to 21nov to be delivered. List price on shopee MYR 55, promo price MYR 27.50 nett. Redeemed 562 shopeecoins and MYR 5 shop voucher with free shipping, price paid is MYR 16.88 nett.

I like this loquat snack the best among the 3 we bought from 3 different shopee online stores because it is only slightly salty on the outer layer. Sweet and soft meaty loquat. This shop is Anmi Food Shop.

On Wednesday 21.nov.2024, he ate breakfast at home because he wanted to buy siew yuk rice takeaway from canton-z to eat with the remaining spicy sour mustard leaves duck meat in the fridge.

On Tuesday 19.nov.2024, I suggested to him to go back to Fei Fei because it is near and yesterday he thought of eating curry ribs wanton noodles so we could eat it today.

8.55 am - I ordered less hand torn pan mee in tomato soup and added one hard boiled egg MYR 14.50 nett from the same stall that I bought yellow wine chicken rice from yesterday. Passable.

9.29 am - Then he walked to the new eatery Hui Ong Coffee Shop next to Print Lab and bought roast duck MYR 10 nett and sweet spicy sour mustard vege MYR 6 nett.

2.11 pm - duck MYR 10 nett spicy sour sweet mustard leaves MYR 6 nett 

2.14 pm - he cooked the last remaining pack of instant noodles and ate them dry with the mustard leaves and duck and kept the remaining duck meat in the mustard leaves gravy and store in the fridge.

3.32 pm - I ate the red bean bun from yesterday 

4.29 pm - I also ate all the frozen but still scoopable pistachio Sofuto which has a somewhat oily taste that I can't get rid of from my mouth. I wouldn't know that the flavour is pistachio if they didn't print the label pistachio.
